I'm upgrading my mobo from Gigabyte X58A-UD3R Rev. 1.0 to X58A-UD3R Rev. 2.0

Is this a simple process of unplugging all components from one mobo to another and should work flawlessly or do I need to re-install all drivers and reconfigure my RAID 1 setup? I basically want to know how much pain I'll experience if I do this mobo upgrade.

Rick> Actually, I installed ver. 1.0 about 3 weeks ago. Everything seems to be working fine.

I received ver 2.0 today for another build. So I have a choice of keeping the 1.0 or upgrading to 2.0.

I'm still debating whether to swap the mobo or not since 1.0 is working fine for me.

I'm not even sure what the benefits of 2.0 over 1.0 are. Although I have read some where that 2.0 has 12 phase. Common sense dictates that I should have the latest mobo 2.0, no?

Rick, if you are going with the 1.0, be sure you download the latest audio driver from Realtek. It took me 2 weeks to figure out that my front microphone output was a driver error, and not the computer case (I almost returned the case for this error).

I'm having X58-UD5, THB I don't even think of upgrading my board till the next socket is out, and of course SATA3 and USB3 becomes common with cases supporting front panel USB3
