How to disable a printer from using black cartridge

Hello,
what if i want to disable the black cartridge,,and i want to used the colored only...is it possible...?? if possible .,,how? sorry for my grammar...i cant speak english fluently...(HP model C4400)

To my knowledge, most printers require the black cartridge. You could try editing a document (rich text format), and change font to a color), to see if that will work.

Unless your document only contains the colors in the color cartridges, black will get used as it has to mix the black ink to make certain colors or to get certain shades of colors.
