I'm thinking of building a new system with a GIGABYTE GA-MA790GPT-UD3H and AMD x3 720 cpu.
I'm a light gamer (EA Sports games or a first person shooter)
Is this overkill or do you suggest something else

Video card not sure but don't think I need anything powerful
Already have case Antec 459 ps Hanns g monitor keyboard mouse
Plan on updating HD and Optical drive
Just want to get started on the right path with room for upgrades

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: (e.g.: newegg.com)

PARTS PREFERENCES: no brand preferred but most posts suggest Gigabyte or Asus

OVERCLOCKING: maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1280x1024

What other components are you considering? The GPU is far more important to a gaming machine than the motherboard or CPU choice.
