I cant get my system passed 3.9 ghz

Hi everyone I am a nube at oc'ing and it would be great if someone can help me out. I am not able to get my computer passed 3.9ghz when i go over that and run prime95 it instantly crashes. I tried hiring the voltage but it did not work I would like to get to at least 4.5 ghz 5.0ghz would be the highest and best for me.

If you get 4.5GHz you'll be lucky,
5GHz and you'll be a Clocking God
but at that voltage (1.45v+) your H80 is going to fry, I estimate idle temps of 45-50'C for you at least

Ok thanks can you tell me what you think i should set the voltages and and other settings to be able to achieve the highest possible with my system

I can't tell you settings because each chip is different, the best advice I can give you is to start reading the Black edition overclocking guide up the top of this section, and you will discover your chips limits yourself, and relatively safely

I had the same issue with my 1090t.

could get it to 3.96 without to much trouble but for what ever reason i could not break 4ghz and have it stable. I spent many many hours trying to get to that mark.

I finally got there tho. took a fair bit of work (CPU, MOBO, & RAM Change to be exact) rig is in my sig LOL.
