k, so i was looking for a cpu cooler for my i7 3770k and everyone said that the noctua d-14 and thermalright silver arrow were the best. but then i looked at this website that picked top 5 heatsinks and fans. and the noctua was at 10th place and a spire cpu cooler was at the top. so i went on the spire website and i found the spire coolgate 2012. Is it anygood? is it better then the noctua d-14? where can i buy it? What are the top 3 cpu coolers for lga 1155

No...the D14 is only bested by the Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK and the H100. There are hundreds of reviews out there on HSF and Noctua is really the top dawg.
The real question is if you actually need that much thermal displacement.

There are other coolers out there that perform in roughly the same range, 2-5 degrees that cost half as much and weigh a lot less. One of the new interesting ones is the Cooler Master TPC812, it's got vertical vapor chambers.

Good Luck,
