AM3 CPU Ready Y?

Someone asked me to build them a computer but now I'm afraid I made a huge mistake when choosing the parts ![:o]( ":o")
Pleas guys I need your help here. The motherboard says the max CPU Support is a Phenom II and it says AM3 CPU Ready Y. What does this mean???
The motherboard is a MSI K9N6PGM-V2 - 6CH Audio - Gb LAN - Nvidia 6150e - AM2+ Motherboard and the CPU an AMD Athlon II x 4 Quad Core 630 - Boxed CPU - 2.8Ghz Socket AM3.
Will this work?
Would I need to update the BIOS? How do you do this?
Guess I might need to buy the motherboard if it doesn't... please tell me it will!

All you need is to have the 7309v20 bios version, which you can download from the same page.

Go to the MSI website and look for the cpu support list. If it is on the list, pay attention to the bios level needed for running it.

The bios revision should be listed on the sticker on the box...
