Um, I'm totally new to this site, and if I am posting in the wrong place, please don't post something like "wrong section"
and just leave me because I really want some help, so I'll get straight to the point.

I want a graphics card that can run games like oblivion and team fortress 2 with maxed shaders and/or maxed or decent texture quality, maybe some anti-aliasing and still run smooth.

I know I am probably asking for WAY too much, but I can't even run my oblivion which I bought for 30 bucks

specs:

OS: microsoft windows xp home edition 5.1 build 2600

processor: intel(R) pentium(R) 4 cpu 2.40GHz

memory: 1024 mb ram (fail)

display specs:
name: ati radeon 9250 (epic fail)

chip type: radeon 9250 AGP (0x5960)

DAC type: internal DAC 400MHz

approx total memory: 128 mb

current display mode: 1680 x 1050 (32bit) (60Hz)

sorry if that was stupid/ hard to understand because ive never posted specs before

anyway, my budget's $120

help :??:

3850 or 4670 will be bottle-necked by your cpu... There was a toms review on agp cards a while ago and the newer cards are held back by anything less than a top end single core or a dual core cpu.

+1 Not woth the price for the videocard. Just save 37$ more and get a 785 amd chipset with integrated HD 4200 Dx 10.1 video card for about 75$+ AMD Athlon II X2 240 58$ + 24$ for 1Gb ram kingston = 157$ shipped. Keep your current hardrive and case and powersupply. A much better way. Oh yeah, install windows xp btw Dont forget to oc the videocard as those 4200 overclock like crazy as much as 90%( from 500Mhz->~850Mhz), also oc that cpu. If your your budget is higher , you could get an hd 5770 for 165$ which is more than enought for those games. Even with 37$ more than your budget you will see BIG performence boost.
