I purchased a AM3 720 black edition and was told that i could open the 4th code if i had a Mobo with a SB750 south bridge. I bought a Asus M4A79 Deluxe and want to know if this is going to work for me or not. Any help would be great.....
Thanks Guys...............

If the BIOS supports ACC, the mobo should work, but there is no guarantee the 4th core can be unlocked. It's useless anyways, I unlocked it and then re-disabled the core. It just adds heat but give little to no performance increase.

Useless for general purpose users or the majority of gamers, but more cores are plenty useful to some. I'm never going back to having anything less than a quad core again.

Guess what.

AMD disables a core for a reason and that reason isn't to sell triple core CPU's.

If you want a quad buy a quad.
