So I bought this new Computer

I'm trying to use my video card, an XFX NVIDIA 9500GT, it requires 350W and my psu is 300W. I read that since this is the only extra thing I have in my computer it should still work. When I put it in and plug in my monitors, they stay at a black screen. I tried to install drivers before hand but I get a message along the lines of something saying I have nothing that requires drivers and it closes. any help?
