Intel x4500 integrated graphics

I plan on buying the hp p6240f that has 8GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM memory.Is this good enough for gaming. This is a desk top format and is a package deal that comes with a 20 inch hd monitor.

Not a chance. Take a look at this review, you see that the G45 does miserably in all of the gaming tests

Even a cheap 4650 would be a massive improvement in gaming performance over an Intel IGP.

I am trying to upgrade my current desk top without breaking the bank. I have an hp windows xp 120 gb with a 15 inch lcd that is burning out. I want to stay around $800 and this package fits the bill as a 3 day cyber special at hp.

??? If you spend more then $400 on a PC and still have integrated graphics, then you are doing something wrong. You can easily build a mid-range C2D machine w/ a 9800 GT for around $600 or so...

Not really sure why you're sticking with integrated graphics. At any rate, they have motherboards with built-in Geforce 9300 graphics chip for around $100.

I think you might be setting yourself up if you go with Intel GMA 4500 or ATI HD 3100.

It sounds like a package deal for someone who has no interest in playing 3D games. I play 3D games so I would refuse that deal. Unless of course the price was lower than what I could build and it had a decent PSU and I had extra cash to plug in at least an HD 4850.
