3 pin fan with speed control

Hello i asked a question and im not sure i asked it the right way for the answer i as looking for..

I have a antec 300 illusion i just got an am going to be building as soon as i can.
The fans are 3 pin and they have speed control connected to them. Im looking at some connectors that are molex to 2 pin from what i read where they are being sold.
I as wondering if them only being 2 pin will effect the fan and me being able to control the fan speed with the built in fan control on each fan.

if you remove that little switch that act like a resistor to control the speed do not connect that to the psu or you will blow the fan and maye something else ,

the fans will run 100% without any control is all.

i have connected old 2 pin fans to 3 pin connections on my motherboard.

You cant control the fans which are directly plugged to the PSU .

If you use that 3 pin to molex than you cannot control the fan speed .

The fans have a fan controller connected to them... its a switch that has 3 speeds

Even i the fan control is is built into the fan?

w/o the tachometric signal, the fans will not know what speed they are suppose to run at and will default to 100%.

Exactly what they have yes.. without the 3 pin will the controller work still?

Yes, it will work.
I also use that with my front case fan.

I mean mine has a 3 pin and picture had a 4 pin molex.. but mine has the fan control like t hat picture on the of it...
