Hi all , sorry if this is done to death but need some help, system here msi p7n sli board, xfx alpha dog 8800gt xxx version , antec 700w power supply, 4gig ocz ram, cpu intel e8400 3.0ghz. i wanted to sli mt alpha dog but cant find one the same, would it be worth getting 2 gts 250,s ? would the performace be worth the cost ? or would it be better to get a single gts 260 or 275.

The 260 or 275 would be the better option, then put the 8800 to use as a PhysX card.

thanks mousemonkey , how do you use a 8800 as a physx card , and what would be gained by it ?. is the 260 any faster than the 8800 ?.
searching the net and cant find any head to head for 8800 or 200 series cards..

Hi at the moment i am using 1600 x 1024. on a lg 32" screen.

A single 260 is almost twice as powerful as it has almost twice as many SP's or 'Cuda Cores' than an 8800 and to use the 8800 as a PhysX card you only need to put it in the secondary slot and enable it as a dedicated PhysX card via the Nv control panel, no SLi bridge should be fitted.
