Can pulling a drive out of esata dock while its running bad sectors

can pulling a drive out of esata dock while its running make bad sectors?

I had a bunch of drive problems within a day of getting esata dock.

    You should not unplug a running hard drive.

  2. Ditto ^. E-sata is not hot swapable and should only be unpluged when the computer is off.

    eSATA is hot swappable if the system is configured properly (AHCI drivers and a controller that supports hot swapping).

    Yep. But we have to remind people of the basic principle - Don't remove it until you use Safely Remove Hardware to flush any write buffers.
