I5 2500k help please

hi,

im new to overcloking and tried it from the first time,

i went into the bios btw i have a gigabyte z68x ud3h b3, my baseclock is 100mhz and i changed my freqnecy from 33 to 44 ( shows as 4.4ghz when i change in the bios) my vcore is about 1.380 i hit save then exit when on windows i click start type in dxdiag and it still says 3.3ghz( my turbo technology is turned of).

please do not shout or anything like that as this is my first build

you need to get cpu-z and that will tell you your actual core speed for your cpu and i would also get core temp to monitor your cpu temps as that seems like a bit too much vcore for 4.4 im at 4.2ghz with only 1.248 as vcore

hi,

im really confused atm becasue in intel quick boost it shows as deafult 3.3ghz ( so i can choose faster, turbo and twin turbo options) and when testing prime 95 im getting 4.29ghz confusing much.

in touch bios i kust set my multiplyer to 41 that makes it 4.1ghz but still does not explain why it showing as nearly 4.3ghz in prime 95 please culd i have youir help
