Upgrade Athlon II X2 to Athlon II X4

I've got an Acer Aspire AX1301-U9032 as a secondary computer. It has a Geforce 9200 chipset and an AMD Athlon II x2 215. I can't seem to find much information on that chipset. Is it possible for me to upgrade the processor to an Athlon II x4 quad core processor without additional upgrades? Does the 9200 chipset support this?

You should be able to upgrade to the Athlon II X3 425 considering that is an option for your computer new. If you download cpuz and use it to get your motherboard information, we can take the motherboard information and tell you what will work. With a store bought computer it is hard to upgrade because most of the time the bios is written by the computer maker; that means that they normally only code in chips that they plan to use in the system.
