First Build - Gaming/Home office PC $465

Well, I just purchased the components for my first build attempt earlier this morning. Since this is my first time, I'm looking for some validation on my choices. Did I screw up on anything or miss something? Your input would be much appreciated.

I used the following thread as a starting point for my part selections, so thank you to those that contributed:


BUDGET RANGE: $500 (After rebates & shipping)

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, home business, surfing the internet, watching movies

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS





MONITOR RESOLUTION: Currently 1024x768, but will upgrade with a new monitor at a later date
