I have been running VP Pro forever on a GB IDE drive. I wanted to expand and bought a 1tb SATA. I installed windows 7 on the SATA with the IDE unplugged (just being careful). When I plugged the IDE back in, it booted from the IDE drive into XP. From XP, I cannot see the still connected SATA drive. I can't get the BIOS to recognise the SATA as the primary boot device. Any ideas? Jim

Jimwolfe,

Is the jumper set to Master on the IDE hard drive? You may want to move it to "Cable Select" and then set the SATA HD to the primary boot device. Also, what is your current boot order? Windows XP and then Windows 7 or vice-versa?

Also, Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/9fhdl5 . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to also check the threads available there for additional assistance and feedback.
