Dvd drive

Both of my dvd drives reads cd when I go to my computer. Neither one will play a dvd or recognize a dvd.

have you tried cleaning the lens?

1) Are you sure theyre dvd drives and not just CD drives. Do they have the DVD logo on the tray somewhere. If not, if you right click on my computer then manage then device manager, what is the model numbers?

2) What OS are you running? If it's anything other than media centre or windows 7 premium or above, do you have DVD software installed?
