Hi Pep`s.

Got a issue here with my computer, for some reason during the last month it will just freeze up on me after being switched on for less then 15 mins and i would need to pull the plug out of the wall to switch it off.

I have removed any newly installed programs and even reinstalled windows, During windows set up it did not freeze on me, But after that it will continue to work and then just lock up on me.

I have done the following...

Reinstalled windows
Only used 1 hard drive where there where 4 connected via sata
removed the memory from 2.5gb to 512mb

Do any one know what the issue could be, i am not looking to replace the motherboard just yet as there may be a simple reason to why this is happening..

The motherboard is : asus p5nsli

Many thanks

I had a very similar issue with my P5NSLI.
I was able to rectify after I noticed the South Bridge heat sink gets super hot. The problem went away after I added additional cooling fans to move the air through the case faster, and also upgraded the power supply to a 750 Watt power supply to handle a future graphics upgrade.
