Is this the highest the ram can go, or can they be overclocked higher, and if yes, how would I do it?

Solution
actually ram overclocking (include lowering latency) is almost unnoticeable..just slightly boost of system responsiveness when you executed a program.

for gaming yes, slightly faster loading..(depend on your storage system)
but there's no differences when watching bd movies..

and remember when you oc-ing your bus frequency, lower your ht link result as close as possible to 2000mhz.

if yoo want to overclock your memory, just increase your bus frequency (FSB)..
but..
it will raise whole of your system bus, include processor, memory, htlink and northbridge..

so you have to lowering setting, especially htlink.

Would increasing it be noticable or be useful?

And if I lower Htlink, how low do I go?

I use this machine mainly for gaming and watching BD movies.
Will overclocking the ram help?

Is it to keep it equal and below to 2000 mhz, or will it cause problem if it goes over 2000 mhz?

make it as close as possible or below 2000 mhz.

yes, usually it will make random system shutdown or unstable system when stressed.
(except you increase your HTT voltage)

actually there's almost no benefit from overclocking hyper transport, but slightly (and almost unnoticeable) performance increase in 3d gaming application.

that's why people try to keep htlink frequency as close as possible to the standart condition..
