Cant find excel file in temp file

Hello,
I accidentally saved my excel file in a temp file. Now I cannot get to the temp file to retrieve my file. How do I find the temp file?

Try running Excel and looking at the recent documents list. It should be there. . .

That file may be gone if you rebooted, this usually happens when someone opens a file from email and does a SAVE instead of a SAVE AS. SAVE dumps it into a temp IE folder, which can get cleared out easily.

Do a full disk search for the file name or just *.xls to see if it's there. Select hidden folders for the search.
