Hy my harddisk can`t read in my pc

Hello,

when i plug my hard disk (640gb) it does not take in my pc, before two days it still working.
what i do now?
pls help mee

Check the bios to see if your motherboard reconizes it. If it does than your drive is fine, just put a disk in and reinstall windows. If not, take it out, connect it to another pc (via slave) and see if that one recognizes it.

1, does bios see the HDD?
2, did you try assigning a drive letter through any kind of HDD management software?

What OS? What HDD? What mobo/chip set? What interface? Inquiring minds want to know
