Need advice on broken fan connector solution

Basically, one of the cables for the 7v connector for the part below broke:

the 12v connector is just too loud for my taste, I'm wondering if there are any solution to this problem.
Yes, the connector is a 4-pin (PWM) fan for the GPU, so my understanding is that a 3-pin 7v male connector/adaptor will not work.

  1. Swap the pins over in the molex plug so that the 12v positive wire is in the 7v position,
    May as well remove the broken one whilst you are at it too
