I recently completed my first build that I thought went off without a hitch, all courtesy of newegg...

My specs are as follows:

AMD phenom II x4 965
Asus m4a79xtd evo motherboard
Antec 300 Illusion case (unplugged the back fan as with it on it pulled air in from the top?!)
HP 2159 monitor (1920x1080 native resolution)
Crucial 64gb sata SSD (runs my O.S. only)
WD Caviar 1200jb-oogvao 120gb h.d. runs at 7200 i think with a 8mb cache (crysis is installed in)
WD Caviar Green 15EADS 1.5TB 32mb cache (movies and music)
Windows 7 professional 64-bit
G-skill f3 12800CL9T-6gbnq (i only installed 2 of the three sticks {first build mistake} since i have dual channel)
Thermaltake TR2 RX 850W PSU (with both the 6 and 8 pin power attached to the GPU)
ASUS EAH4890 1GB GDDR5 G.P.U. (retail drivers installed)
Tuniq Tower 120 extreme fan 3pin (this thing is HUGE, plugged into CPU 4 pin fan on motherboard)

For some reason I can only get 5-8fps on Crysis with it running at 1920x1080 with 8x a.a.

I did a system detect on the graphic settings and it went with high setting for everything...

Windows 7 rated the system at 7.2 with the 7.2 being hard drive transfer rate?

I dont get it... any help is appreciated!

Oh, I havent been able to connect to the internet with it yet as my cable outlet is for somereason not connected to everything else in this brand new building (FML)...

vid card isn't up to snuff i don't think. I'm no expert, havn't played crysis, but seems like that game is super demanding and that vid card is just ....ok.

Doesn't AA take up alot of power? try turning it off?

Grab another 4890 and crossfire.

Question ...is the 4890 better than the 5770? beucase the 5770 is cheaper.

According to benchmarking I should be getting at least 30fps with the asus 4890, not 5-8fps....

Linked to the benchmark of the asus 4890

Ok, I dropped the A.A. to ZERO, switched all the settings to medium quality. Dropped the resolution to 1200ishx900ish and only a F.P.S. improvement to 15 F.P.S.

Anyone have any other ideas? I just updated, via flash, to the newest catalyst drivers and no luck?!

temps are real low, doesnt even sound like gpu fans are increasing speed when i play, kinda confused...

It runs on the same F.P.S. in both regular and Crysis 64 bit, wtf?

all other games are running at their expected frame rates so I am guessing it is something with Crysis itself, anyone have any ideas?
