I have two Xeon 533 MHz FSB CPUs I'd like to use in with a mobo designed for 800MHz FSB procs. Is this possible? (Specifically, the procs came from a ruined Dell 450, and the mobo is a refurb Dell 670)...
Any help is appreciated.

You mean you want to put both on a dual socket server mobo? What are the CPUs and what is the mobo model?

Yes, both on a dual socket WORKSTATION mobo. The mobo is a Dell Precision Wrokstation 670. The procs came from a Dell Precision Workstation 450.

That 670 Workstation has the Intel E7525 chipset. Everything I'ver read shows only CPU support for CPUs with 800 mhs bus.

Asus is pretty thourough about listing all compatible CPUs for their mobos. On the board they make with that chipset, there are no 533 Xeons.

It doesn't mean it's not possible. It just means I haven't found any information on 533 bus Xeons used on that board.
