High pitch noise.

This is weird so bare with me. When I run Google crome I get a high pitch noise coming from the HDD as best as I can tell. But when I run IE9 I don't but I do hear the HDD working. Same with games unless it needs to launch throught Crome i.e. BF3. Then I get the High pitch noise as well. When I go in to AMD vision control center and click on one of the side tabs it make a short noise just like the one it make when running crome. Should I set my HDD up in a RAID 1 then pull one to see if I can find the bad HDD?

Update it makes the noise when I watch a video on IE9.
