First time building my own pc

This is my first time building a pc and my 7 years old Dell pentium4 really gotta go. I’m building this pc for use with Autodesk Maya 2010, and playing games such as Left4Dead2, Crysis, CoD Modern Warfare 2, and so on. I might run Vista Ultimate 32bit, but might upgrade to Windows7 64bit. I’m looking to upgrade the cpu, ram, video card as needed. As far as I understand, overclocking this pc would be easy. Is there anything else I have to change or add? My budget is around $600-$650, and with MIR, it would be around $620.

Spinpoint f3 HDD from Zipzoomfly.com is faster and a bit cheaper. Or get a Seagate 7200.12 from newegg, also faster and cheaper. 650w may not be enough for 4650 x-fire.

shouldn't the WD Hard Drive's 32mb cache come in handy?

the WD has 2 250gb platters the samsung has a single platter wich is faster you could save a bit and get the asus 790xtd
