That's a very low budget gaming build, but we'll need to know your resolution before we can tell how well it will run games. There's a build advice form in my sig that has some important info...

^ A MUCH better build. I would consider switching that HDD though... WD Blacks, Spinpoint F3s, and 7200.12s are more reliable and faster.

Should I got Radeon 4890 or 5770, Because 5770 is about $20 cheaper and supports DirectX11 ?
November 29, 2009 3:21:46 AM

Ohh and is the case worth it? $25 Kinda makes me feel its cheap, can you guys confirm/answer my questions?
November 29, 2009 3:33:40 AM

The GPU is sort of a tossup, but if I was buying it for my self, I would get a 5770. As for the case, it looks good, but I can't speak for it's build quality. +1 to jbl91's HDD suggestion. One note, you may not want to get that PSU since that's a crossfire capable motherboard and that PSU can't handle crossfire. But if you're not going to crossfire ever then, it's fine.

not digging the case though, seems a little complicated for a first time build, and seems it will be annoying to make everything work, maybe a more simpiler one, I could care less for what it looks like as long as it lasts and it works :)
November 29, 2009 5:11:32 AM

It sells for $59.99 on NewEgg and it a killer deal IMO
November 29, 2009 5:24:56 AM

Ight I'll stick with the case, But do I need a sound card to be able to listen to music on my rig? or wtf im confused on the sound card part...
November 29, 2009 5:45:33 AM

All recent years mobos come with onboard sound ^^
November 29, 2009 5:29:28 PM

Anyone know the cost of all this?
November 29, 2009 5:50:09 PM

CF previous gen GPUs when HD 5K is out? Not a good idea for me hehe
November 29, 2009 6:00:10 PM

What batuchka i didnt understand a word you said XD. And would jbl91's suggestion for the Antec TruePower work well with 2 4890'S OR 2 4870'S ?
November 29, 2009 6:03:00 PM

Yes it would work very well. He's saying that he wouldn't invest so much money in two previous generation GPUs probably mainly because they lack DX11 support.
November 29, 2009 6:07:23 PM

Ight, I don't plan on playing games in DX11 Seems like a hassle since DX12 Will come out soon after and will just keep make new versions, I'll update my GPU maybe every year or two, But don't plan on upgrading PSU for maybe 3 years lol :)
November 29, 2009 6:17:36 PM

Then work with say a dependable 80+ with enuff amps on the 12V rails for a non CF/SLI set up. Hang in there with a single HD 4890 and look for HD 5870ish class/performance down the road once your games seem sluggish
November 29, 2009 6:43:02 PM

Should I just get ONE 5770, I heard it equals to about 2 4890's, Any thoughts?
November 29, 2009 6:44:14 PM

And If I got with a 5770 Should I go XFX or Sapphire
November 29, 2009 6:46:19 PM

It doesn't equal 2 4890, it preforms a bit lower than 1 4890 but can be overclocked to match it. One in fine for now, it can run games out now at med -high settings. Get XFX.
November 29, 2009 6:51:50 PM

So XFX 5770? or XFX 4890?

4890 has Higher Performance
but
The 5770 has DX11, Can't choose...
November 29, 2009 6:53:17 PM

5770, uses less power and overclocks better than 4890
November 29, 2009 7:04:49 PM

Ight than I'll go XFX 5770, Thanks guys.
November 29, 2009 7:07:35 PM

But I saw some reviews on newegg and they said it heats like an over reaching 80C at load :(
November 29, 2009 7:11:16 PM

I have a Gigabyte 5770 and it sits at 36C OCed.
November 29, 2009 7:13:36 PM

Did you order it from newegg? If so Im going to take your word and buy it :)
November 29, 2009 7:19:19 PM

Yeah, This was a review on the Gigabyte 5770 I bought...
Pros: Small, DX11, Low energi.

Cons: My was so hot. IDE 52, Loud 87!!! aloso little noisy.

Other Thoughts: So I returned it and take XFX. This run IDE 43, Loud 70. (FurMark - burning mode) and really quiet. Anyway great card. I thing, I get just wrong one.

Mines no where near this, maybe some of the first 5770s are bad though, If you get one thats hot/loud RMA it.
November 29, 2009 7:43:38 PM

So don't get GigaByte can the Sapphire or Diamond?
November 29, 2009 7:44:13 PM

Opps my Bad I meant XFX.
November 29, 2009 7:46:41 PM

Yes get XFX
November 29, 2009 7:48:49 PM

Ight calculating how much money I need to come up with....Grrr lol

I heard Hitachi's are unreliable and slowwww...
November 30, 2009 12:26:57 AM

And I don't need 1tb of memory, I'm only gonna have 10-30 Games installed, 500-750gb is a Sufficient amount of space.
November 30, 2009 12:35:03 AM

Still don't overpay for the black, get a seagate 7200.12 500gb for $54
November 30, 2009 12:48:06 AM

The Review for the Seagate Barracuda are *** to say the least. sorry for the language
November 30, 2009 12:49:34 AM

And all the review for the Western Digital 500GB had no cons, feeling kinda worried?
November 30, 2009 12:55:14 AM

What review said that the Barracuda .12 was not good? The WD is a great drive, it's just not as fast...
