Dynamic drive vs basic drive
Hey guys, i accidentally converted my harddrive in to dynamic form.... does this affect my computer's performance? Does it affect the life span of my harddrive? Help please!
In general, each has its own advantages and disadvantages.
After you convert a basic disk to a dynamic, the dynamic disk cannot be directly changed to basic without third-party tools. Firstly, you must delete all volumes on the dynamic disk, and then convert it back to basic disk. I suggest that you should backup data on the dynamic volume, and then convert back, or use third-party tools, such as Dynamic Disk Converter.
Installing a multi-system on a basic disk and converting to dynamic disk will lead one of them to be abnormality or failure at start up.
