More about getting drives work
  1. Have you double checked both drives have both the power and sata connectors attached?

are both drives being detected in the BIOS?

have you tried using windows disk manager to format the second drive and assign it a drive letter?

its probably the last one, but you should soon be able to find out.
  2. yes both are seen in the bios and yes they both have power and sata hooked up. I even see it in the device manager section of windows. but that is it. it isnt in my hard disk drive section with the other one

Figured it out. thanks for the help.
  3. Partition and format it?
  4. just needed to assign a drive letter to it
