Intel e8400 price drop ?

The i3 has beaten the e8400 by a little in just every benchmark I have seen. The e8400 is still at $167 on newegg though while the i3 is at $125 for the 2.9ghz and $145 for the 3.0ghz, When the heck is intel going to drop the price on the e8400 ? Will they even do it ? lol ... I was hoping it would maybe go down somewhere near to $100 bucks now that the i3 beats it ... jeez intel is so greedy
