Xp plays dvd no sound

The XP plays the visuals from a movie I put in the cd drive but no sound. It plays sound if I put in a music cd. Grrrrr

On one cd or on all?

Forget autoplay for a sec, and open it manually with another player.
does it do the same?
I had something like that recent, and I enabled some audio codecs in the Klite Codec tweak tool.

What codec pack do U have?
Try installing a newer version, or try K-lite codec pack.
