Hello,
I am no techie. I am running windows XP 32-bit and it is running fine. AVG reported a corrupted section ntoskrnl.exe(PAGE)Rt... object is hidden when I ran a scan. Is this something I should be concerned about? What to do?

If it was in a non-windows folder, let AVG deal with it.

How do I know if it is in a non-windows folder. The information I have from AVG is:

Detection Name: Corrupted Section ntoskrnl.exe(PAGE)RtlQueryAtomInAtomTable+0x585, size 4 bytes

Object Name - Unknown

Object type - file

SDK type - rootkit

Result - object is hidden

To be sure you get correct info, you should contact AVG forums, and let their removal pros diagnose your scan results. They can provide you with additional tools to run, so they can look deeper into your system. Chances are this was a false positive.
