I'm needing a hard drive for a new build and had planned to get a Western Digital 1TB or 1.5TB Cavier Black but just noticed the prices doubled. I see several places Frys, Best Buy etc. are selling this Western Digital model WDBAAZ0010HNC-NRSN http://www.frys.com/product/5643481?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG which isn't on WD's website. Is the WDBAAZ0010HNC-NRSN the same as http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284 which is on WD's website?

Disregarding the price is there any real advantages of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533 over http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284 ?

I am in much the same situation as you. I am getting together all my components for a build and was going to pick up the WD RE4 that you show the link above. That is an Enterprise drive and is built better, lasts longer and has a longer warranty. If you want to do RAID, that would be the way to go with those two drives.

I ended up going with the Hitachi Deskstar http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Hitachi/0F13180/ on sale $60.00 cheaper than Newegg...

Here is a review.

Hope this helps.
