Intel Core i5 $1200 build

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Tomorrow BUDGET RANGE: $1200

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: All Gaming

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Need all the parts, including a cheap keyboard/mouse/speakers and a decent monitor

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg

PARTS PREFERENCES:
Core i5

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: Would like 1080p monitor

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: This build is for my cousin, who plans to purchase the parts starting tomorrow. I was thinking maybe an Antec 900 case while its still on sale for $60 and an asus mobo, Samung F3 500 gig HDD. Some gskill RAM. Just wondering if we can pull off the i5 build on this budget. Probably not possible, but if we could throw a 5850 in the mix, it'd be great.

FREE SHIPPING IS DEFINITELY A PLUS
E.G. I think its best to order a $10 item and have free shipping then buy a cheaper $6 item and pay for shipping.

EDIT: Maybe there will be some good deals for cyber monday?

How does this build look; see any changes that I should check out? Also.. is the 5770 still a pretty good video card for gaming? How long will it last?
  3. looks good the 5770 might not max out some games but with that mobo and PSU you can add another 5770 if need be down the road and be @ about or above a 5850 depending on the game.

the monitor is fine but if your by a window that glossy screen will suck

    HD 5770 review http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3658
  4. Yeah, not sure if we should stick with the 5770, or tough it out and get the 5850 even though it is over budget.
  5. Okay, we didn't get to order any last the other night due to some difficulties. However, we will order here within the week now. Does my build look good, any changes anyone would recommend?
