260m vs 230m

Hey guys, I am looking to buy a laptop in the next couple of weeks and have noticed that many of the gaming laptops i've been looking at have a 230m gpu. I am wondering what kind of difference in terms of frames per second can the 230m be from the 260m. I would be using this laptop for 3d animations and modeling. I know that graphics cards do not effect render times; however, they do affect your viewport rendering (realtime adjustments and manipulation of objects). I just wanted to know if there is a huge difference between the performance of a 230m and 260m.

the gtx260m is about twice as fast.

yea, if you plan to buy a gaming laptop pick up the one with the gtx 260m. It has the power of a 9800gt desktop card.
