I need sound

i have an hp computer that power supply went bad so i used the opportunity to get a 600w ps and a XFX hd 4850 1gb ddr3. my old hp monitor does not have dvi so i used dvi to vga adapter, but ati drivers overwrote my sound drivers and now i have no sound coming from my speakers. please help i can even find the hardware in my device manager

go to the realtek website and download it, also go to hp.com , find your computer then look for the sound chipset so you know which driver to download

U will find under device manager one Ati hdmi audio device. Disable it and see if the other sound device comes up.If not reinstall the driver of the old audio device,i presume on-board one.
