Cd drive not working

my cd player isn't working and i dont know how that can be
it worked fine as of last night but today all of sudden i tried to figure out why it's not working and checked under system properties for my cd drive and it says "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"

is their anyway i can fix this?? without having me taking this computer to repair shop??
