New build boot problem

New system started right up,went to bios setup ok,then goes to insert boot disk.The only disk I have is the disk that came with motherboard.It did recognize my hd and graphics card but i noticed when booting up it says no devic=ves found.Im lost on that one.

Does your hard drive show up in the BIOS?

Um. Boot disk = OS install disk. No devices is nothing it could just mean raid or plug and plays. Its telling you that you need to install an OS like Windows.

The boot disk it is asking for is the OS installation disk, the disk that came with your motherboard is just drivers. If you have a new HDD and no bootable disk in the ODD then there are no boot devices for it to find. If you dont have a copy of windows, get a linux CD and boot off of that.

Just a big Thanks to everyone.This is up and running.asus p6t mb,1.5t hd,gforce 9800 graphics,12gb ram and plenty of room left to upgrade.No what can i do lol.
