i don't seem to be getting all of my memory .kingston 4x2gb 1066 ddr2 hyperx.biostar ta790gx 128m mobo. do i need to set memory up in bios .if so how?

what os? XP can only see 4gbs but doesnt show up as 4 comes up 3 and change. Vista 32 bit caps at 4gbs. If you wanna see full 4gbs or more need 64 bit

Yes, you need a 64-bit OS to even fully use 4GB of RAM. 8GB of RAM on a 32-bit OS is completely wasted. I wouldn't waste your time on 64-bit XP when you can get 64-bit Windows 7 for $100.
