Builds by Usuage - Updated Video Card

This card is recommended in both "gamer" configurations:

GPU: XFX HD-585A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5850 (Cypress Pro) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card w/ATI Eyefinity - Retail

... and is not "readily" available.

Does anyone have a viable, long term option? I am looking for a simple solution.

There really isn't a great solution right now. There are 5850s out there, you just have to look and purchase quickly, because they don't last long. If you've got the budget, look at the 5870. If you don't care about the dx11 support (I assume you do, since you say 'long term option'), you can look at the 4890. Or you can wait until Nvidia releases their 300 line.

Another option is to buy two 5770s and a motherboard that can crossfire. Costs a little more than a 5850 and is a little faster.
