So, being a huge idiot, I broke the plastic securing bar (http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/xpsm1330/en/sm/keyboard.htm) on my Dell M1330 XPS laptop where the keyboard cable plugs in while trying to replace the keyboard. Slotting it back in and taping it down over the keyboard cable didn't work, and now it looks like I'll just have to get a USB keyboard or replace the motherboard. Do I have any more options? Is there somewhere I can buy a new plastic securing bar?

Thanks for any help.

Hey Avi, unfortunately I had to buy a new motherboard from ebay for about $100, which took a while to install since I basically had to take apart everything right down to the chassis, but it went well and my laptop is in fully working order. Before that, I was using a flexible USB keyboard when I needed to bring my laptop somewhere since I was afraid to do the surgery and the part price was higher (like $250). Hope that helps.
