My CPU

I just got a new CPU I installed in in my pc last night, It runs around 29c to 30c idle, but when it gets load it goes to 60C and then slowly climbs to 70+.. I am wondering what I can do about this? I applyed a thin layer of termal compound.


The CPU is a AMD x2 64 5200+ 2.7ghz... and the case is a demsion e521


The way I tested it was with Max Burn

I have a house hold fan blowing into it and it still does this...

If your on stock cooler thats pretty normal i'd say. I'm running an Athlon 64 X2 5600 2.9ghz on the stock cooler and im getting 39-40c idle and 60+C load. It would get up to 70C if I let it but my gaming usually never gets it up that high. You dont have anything to worry about, Athlon 64 X2's run hot.

okay thank you my temp is around 50C in games. I was just using BurnMax to max it out and see...

Yeah thats nothing to worry about. If I stress test my cpu it easily gets up to 80C in about 15 minutes. Thats why I dont do it....
