hey everyone, so i bought a 5770 after my 4890 died, getting crossfire on the go next week! awesome! but yeah anyway, in my system the 5770 way out performs my old hd4890! which i gotta say is pretty weird, anyone else experienced the 5770? for £113 i really dont reckon there is a better card on the market! as far as price/performance goes!

You probably had an under performing/bad 4890...considering the 5770 equals the 4870, and a 4890 is 20% better than either.

Or it's the self fulfilling prophecy effect... :D

I got the same feeling after I swapped out my GTX260 for a 4870...I "felt" gaming was better even though
min/max and average fps were essentially the same. lol =p

:) glad to hear, i cant wait for my crossfire! im well excited, i have tested it on fallout 3, hawx, arma 2 and 3dmark 06, arma 2 matches, hawx and fallout it kicks the ass off the 4890 and 3dmark 06 the 5770 scores slightly higher with no overclock, tried overclocking it earlier, got the mem up to 1300 and the core upto 900, didnt bother going higher than that, and with that clock 3dmark was getting around 1300 more points, i have had 2 4890's now, and this performs better than both so far. I play in 1680x1050 so i reckon thats why

hmm.. thats definately something i'll look into! i saw a review the other day that said crossfire 5770's will out perform a single 5870, theres several other factors that attracted me to the 5770, the power it takes to run it being one of them, 108 under max load! even with crossfire that will still be less than a 5870 which consumes 298 under max load, its a huge difference, especially when im on an electric meter and my gaming habbits cost me way to much as it is ;)
