Hello,I have a 2GB Flesh Drive that when inserted into the USB port gives the message: "This device can perform faster if you connect it to a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port. I am using XPPro for OS with SP3

Lol, flesh drive... you perv.

Are you plugging this flash drive into a USB port on your keyboard or monitor or anything like that? Sometimes those ports aren't USB 2.0 ports, but USB 1.1 instead.

That is Flash drive not Flesh.
The problem is probably one of the following:
- your computer case has an USB port that is extended from the MB with a cheap cable that is't shielded. Some devices will work, some won't (or only at USB 1 speed) Check: Plug the device into a rear USB port and/or plug the device into another PC)
- your computer has no USB 2 port (you didn't specified anything about how other devices are working). Some older machines specify that their USB is v2 but actually isn't working in 2 mode. Check: other devices with your computer, look at the BIOS settings regarding USB ports
- your device hasn't the right driver for your OS. Check: plug the device in another PC with other/newer OS
