Usb port not working

My laptop usb port damaged due to lightning. if i connect my pen drive/flash drive in shutdown down mode then start my laptop, my laptop usb port is detecting mass storage device but in login mode if i remove my pen drive from laptop & again plugin the pen drive then my laptop usb port is not recognizing the pen drive device...................

please help me & give a suggestion...........

There is not a usb port problem, there is Pen device problem it could be damaged. check your pen device to another laptop or computer.

I have faced that problem when i was connected my flash drive then the windows shows a message that "USB port is not recognized" so i checked my usb to another computer then it was worked fine.

no no no my friend... that's not my pen drive problem, even i am using my pen drive with my other desktop computer... any kind of other mass storage device (like card reader, usb modem, mp3 player) is not recognizing by my laptop. (
