Hi! I've been searching for a while now for a way to read the CPU temp in my Dell Dimension 4500. CPU is ... GenuineIntel Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz [x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 4]. Tried Everest, SIV, and Speedfan and none work with it. Is CPU temp possibly not available? If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. I'm trying to run a data crunching program as hard as I can without toasting the CPU, or causing it to slow itself down.
Thank You!

Weelll, I finally found a forum where this issue was discussed, and apparently there was no temp sensing on the old Dimension computers, just HD and the fan had a built in sensor to adjust it's own speed (no data out). I've been thinking it's time for an upgrade ;-)
Thanks for the help!
