What specific Vengeance kit do you have?

Keep in mind that DDR memory (DDR, DDR2, and DDR3) means dual data rate. DDR 1440 = 720MHz, DDR 1600 = 800MHz, etc.

You need to increase the memory frequency if you want to OC. This may also require a voltage increase to either the memory and/or the memory controller.

DDR3 1333 kits are generally timed 7-7-7-21 while DDR3 1600 average is 9-9-9-24. Some DDR3 1600 can be as low as cas 6 and the kit I have is timed 7-8-7-24. 8-8-8-20 at 1440 is average. How did you get an oddball speed like that? There is really very little benefit from overclocking RAM. If you have a DDR3 1333 kit you will see no difference running it at 1440.
