Hi All;

I have been trying to setup a home network with following:
Main computer with the high speed connections is Windows XP home, the second computer is Windows 98 SE. I am using an 8 port switch with an xbox online also. The main computer and xbox together work fine, but, as soon as I connect the 98 machine i get a conflict. Originally I had windows 98se on the main computer and when ever I plugged in a windows xp machine it worked fine but if I plugged in a 98 machine I would get the ip conflict. So I put windows xp on the main machine and left 98 on the second machine expecting it to work fine but I am getting the same conflict. Xbox still works fine. what am I doing wrong and how do I fix it.

Thanks for all your help.

Check and change the IP address on the Win 98 machine - hell, infact check the IPs on both machines. Use:

PC1 - 192.168.0.1
PC2 - 192.168.0.2
