Ok I Need some serious help here. After googling and googling til the end of time, I came to my conclusion that you guys are my last resort. My corsair DDR3 1600 MHz RAM will not run stable at 1600 MHz. I can set it to 1600. Then I can boot into windoze. But at any time, the computer can freeze even when its not working hard. At 1066 MHz it works fine. I know my RAM is 1600 RAM but I cant get it to go to 1600 without my computer crying. I read that the recommended timings were 9-9-9-24. I tried that. No luck. I have:

Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P Motherboard.
Corsair XMS 1600 RAM
AMD PHenom II 955 3.2 GHz
Any ideas as to how I get my RAM to run at 1600 MHz and not freeze at random. So annoying. Please help. Ive searched everywhere. Others have had that problem, but I havent found a solution

Enhanced memory profile (AMD) or Xtreme memory profile (Intel).
One of these 2 codes are written to the chips by the manufacturer, they provide a one click solution to reach rated chip speeds.
Since you have an AMD board the chips must have the EMP profile stored and you must boot to bios with default auto detection done on ram for the option to appear.
Same thing applies to an Intel board but it looks for XMP code.
If the setting appears you can select it and your usually done, it sets the timings/clock/voltage for you.
If not you must enter the settings manually, these are usually written on the packaging somewhere.
I suspect while you tried setting the timings and clock you omitted the voltage settings which are not the same typically as the default detection. If the data isn't supplied on the box of ram then use cpu-z (free) and select the memory option and spd data will show for your chips as programed by manufacturer for the Enhanced/Xtreme settings needed. good luck
